March 6 at Sycamore Brewing
Enjoy the start of springtime with some delicious BBQ from a selection of the best food trucks in Charlotte. Along with the great local food vendors, there will also be live bluegrass music, Sycamore beer, frozen cocktails, and great times! More details can be found online.
Shamrock Shuffle
March 6-14 Virtual Event
The Shamrock Shuffle was created to benefit the scholars of Shamrock Gardens Elementary. Shamrock Gardens is a Learning Immersion/Talent Development magnet school that serves scholars in Plaza Midwood, Country Club Heights and Plaza Shamrock, as well as scholars who enter through the magnet lottery. The funds generated by the Shamrock Shuffle will help support the school, as well as continue the strong relationship between the school and the surrounding communities.
The Comedy Strip
March 12 and March 16 at Catawba Brewing Company
Get ready for a night of comedy, art, and cocktails! Your ticket includes a comedy show, raffle tickets, art supplies, face masks, and free parking. Tickets for the event at Catawba Brewing Company are available online.
Carolina Irish Fest
March 13 Virtual Event
The 2nd Carolina Irish Fest is going online in 2021. All proceeds of the Shenanigans & Shamrocks festival go to the building of the Charlotte Irish American Center. The online festival will feature live Irish music, dancing, history, giveaways and more. The event is free, but donations are encouraged.
Color Me Green 5K Trail Run
March 13 at US National Whitewater Center
Color Me Green 5k Trail Run will transition to a dispersed race model due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Please see their website for updated race details. Green clouds, green water, and green clothes make the Color Me Green 5K Trail Run. Due to COVID-19 this race will have no aid stations and supplies. Racers are encouraged to bring enough hydration and fuel for pre-race, during race and post-race.
Blue Star Blitz
March 27 at Anne Springs Close Greenway
Kick off spring with some adventure at the 5th annual Blue Star Blitz Outdoor Recreation Celebration! Show us how you get outside; whether you’re tearing it up on our short track mountain bike course, cruising along our single track 5K/10K trail run and hike courses, tackling our kid’s scavenger hunt or just enjoying live music and tasting the different beers on site. A Taste of Lake Norman
March 27 at Primal Brewery
A Taste of Lake Norman is a mini food festival showcasing some of the Lake Norman area’s best food and beverages. Come show your support and try some great craft food and beers. Primal Brewery in Huntersville has been serving the Lake Norman community since 2013.
